Do you ever find a pattern you like but....

I have a deficient  in finding fabric, beads, ribbon, etc that would be cool to go with whatever I am make at the time.

Case in point,


I love this pattern for little sewing kits.  I love the colors they used.  When I go to the Fabric store, i just can't find fabrics that go together to make this a cute project. I think I will need to bring my Mom or Daughter along to help me with this.

If anyone has suggestions, on how I can learn this skill I will take any advice I can get.

If you have not checked out www.etsy.com you should do so.  Not at this moment but after you read this.  It is a one stop shop for all things crafts. Pre-made items or kits.  They even have supplies for the ones, like me, who would like to make their own instead. There is jewelry to yarn to art work to photos. If you can't find it, then it either doesn't exist or you need to make it and sell it on the site. I can spend hours (and I do mean hours) surfing that site and get a lot of ideas.

Not to mention, if you want to sell your crafts this seems to be the place to do.

I encourage everyone to look at the site and if you don't feel inspired then thee is something wrong with you! LOL
